To create an equitable society for all LGBTQ people, we need to amplify the narrative that people of faith are not our enemy – those who use religion to oppose equity are.
We also do this by raising up the work and words of queer and transgender faith leaders to highlight that LGBTQ people are and have always been leading and shaping faith communities.
Our Resources
All in God’s Family: A Jewish Guide for Creating Allies for Our LGBT Families is intended to help make your congregation a welcoming place for LGBT families.
To help in the process of acceptance and inclusion, A La Familia is born out of a profound desire to faithfully integrate an excluded group of people back into the life of their churches and families.
Denominational leaders of the Welcoming Church Movement created the Institute of Welcoming Resources website to provide the resources to facilitate a paradigm shift whereby Religious Institutions can become fully welcoming and affirming of all members regardless of sexual orientation and gender identity.
