Our thoughts are with the family and friends of George Floyd during this time of grief. How many more deaths do we have to witness before race-based violence is taken seriously? Our elected leaders must be called out for allowing hatred and injustice to continue unchecked. We support local activists’ demands for District Attorney Mike Freeman to file charges against the four police officers who were just fired because of their fatal actions.

Congressional leaders have introduced federal legislation to eliminate racial, religious, and other discriminatory profiling by law enforcement, but Senate Leader McConnell and others have refused to act. Their inaction, as well as the current Administration’s empty rhetoric and blatant disregard for Black lives, will never be forgotten.

Call MN District Attorney Mike Freeman at (612) 348-5550 to demand charges be filed against the four police officers!

Contact your Congress Members and tell them to support the End Racial Profiling Act of 2019 (H.R. 4339) and End Racial and Religious Profiling Act of 2019 (S. 2355).

The National LGBTQ Task Force Action Fund included H.R. 4339 End Racial Profiling Act of 2019 and S. 2355 End Racial and Religious Profiling Act of 2019 in its Legislative Priorities for 116th Congress.
